Alexei K Pushkov, Ph.D. is Chairman of the Committee on International Affairs, State Duma; Author & Anchor, “Postcriptum” (TV broadcasting company, TV Center) and Professor of Diplomacy & International Relations, MGIMO (University). He graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations in 1976, obtained a Ph.D. there in 1979 and later lectured in international relations. From 1988-1991, he was Foreign Policy Adviser and Speechwriter t0 General Secretary Michael Gorbachev. He has written more than 350 articles in the Russian and international press, including in The New York Times, The International Herald Tribune, The Wall Street Journal Europe, The Christian Science Monitor, Foreign Affairs, Foreign Policy, and National Interest, and is author of: “The Putin’s Swings”, Moscow, EKSMO, 2008; “Russia in Global Geopolitics”, Moscow, EKSMO, 2009; “From Courchevel to Davos.
